Accessibility Statement
Last updated: October 5, 2026Shalom Bayit Brotherhood is for every Jewish man, at every stage of marriage. That includes men who browse the web with a screen reader, a keyboard, magnification, or other assistive technology. We want this website to work for all of them.
Our standard
We aim for this site to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. We haven't had it formally audited yet, so we don't claim full conformance, but we've built it with that standard in mind and we fix problems as we find them.
What we've done
- Set the language of every page and used a clear heading structure.
- Added a "Skip to content" link and visible focus outlines, so the whole site can be used with a keyboard.
- Labelled every form field, and made form errors and confirmations readable by screen readers.
- Added a text description for the main photograph.
- Chosen text colors for readable contrast against the dark background.
- Turned off animations, the scrolling banner and fade-in effects for visitors whose device is set to reduce motion.
- Built the layout to work on phones, tablets and desktops, and to allow zooming.
Known limitations
- Some small labels use thin, uppercase type, which some visitors may find harder to read. You can zoom the page to enlarge them.
- Content provided by others, such as WhatsApp and Zoom, which we use to run the program, is subject to those services' own accessibility.
